CTET Primary Level (Class I to V) Exam Eligibility
- For eligibility, one must have Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and pass or be in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
- Alternatively, eligibility criteria include Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE 2002 Norms.OR
- Another pathway involves Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).OR
- For those interested in Special Education, Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) is required.OR
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) qualifies, with the provision that the individual undergoes a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE within two years of appointment as a primary teacher.OR
- Alternatively, a Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade is accepted, along with passing or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII ) Exam Eligibility
- For a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, a Bachelor’s degree is required, and the candidate should be in the final year. OR
- To qualify for a Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), one needs at least 50% marks in Graduation or Post-Graduation and should be in the final year of B.Ed. OR
- A 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) requires Graduation with a minimum of 45% marks, and the candidate should be in the final year of B.Ed in line with NCTE norms. OR
- For a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed), a Senior Secondary qualification with at least 50% marks is necessary, and the candidate should be in the final year of B.El.Ed. OR
- Senior Secondary graduates with at least 50% marks can pursue or be in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR
- Graduates with at least 50% marks pursuing or in the final year of 1-year B.Ed. / (B.Ed Special Education) are eligible. OR
- Any candidate with a qualified B.Ed. Program recognized by NCTE is eligible for TET/CTET. OR
- Individuals pursuing teacher education courses recognized by NCTE or RCI are also qualified for TET/CTET. OR
- A minimum of 55% marks in Post-Graduation and being in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed qualifies for TET/CTET.
